"Love is not enough
to have a peaceful family."
When two people in love become a mom and a dad, certain dynamics are triggered between them that in the long run can lead to frustrations, quarrels, misunderstandings and that in almost half of married or cohabiting couples culminate in separation or divorce.
Love for your partner and love for your child has nothing to do with these difficulties and the mixed feelings that, perhaps, you are also experiencing at this time.
Avoid Guilt Trips
Becoming a mother is incredibly tough, both physically and especially emotionally.
No one prepared you
No one could describe to you what it would be like, and now you are finding out for yourself.
In particular, all the (often unsolicited) advice you have received has to do with caring for your baby, feeding, nurturing, sleeping.
But try to think about it:
Has anyone ever given you advice on
how to take care of yourself?
Has anyone ever helped you deal with how your relationship with your partner would evolve and change following the arrival of a child?
Yet, if you think about it, it is absolutely logical.
Raising a newborn is an all-encompassing experience that, especially in the early years, is likely to overwhelm you and annihilate the woman you are.
Sleepless nights, zero time for yourself, no time to chat and laugh a little with your partner as you used to be able to do.

I'm a mother, just like You
I know what it feels like..
To have to pee with the door open to hear what happens in the other rooms
To give up yet another dinner with friends, yet another workout, or even just a moment to relax
To desire the freedom you had before children and feeling guilty about it
To feel trapped in a routine where you don't even know if you are happy or not anymore.
You take care of everyone's needs but your own, as if it were normal, but you often feel as if you are running out of breath.

More Love for yourself
I want to tell you right away that if you relate to my words, it is absolutely essential that you read this page to the end.
Sometimes mothers associate this suffering, this difficulty with a necessary sacrifice they make for their family, as if there could be no other way.
I want to be clear with you and tell you that this is not true. In fact, there is the possibility of accommodating your needs and emotions without taking anything away from your family and your relationship.
Because by finding love for yourself and listening to your needs you are also doing the best possible thing for the people you love.
You can't fill a glass with an empty bottle, right?

My name is Sarah Lewis
I coach new mothers, with children up to 6 years old, in their new role. In my career I have helped about 380 people as a coach, and in the last 3 years alone I have held supportive consultations for about 1,680 hours.
Sarah Lewis
I have a Master's degree in Conscious Parenting from the Erikson school in Seattle, Washington, and I have studied for 10 consecutive years with leading American and world exponents of neuroscience and personal growth including Robert Dilts and Roberto Re as well as having consistently applied various methodologies including pnl and emotional balance: these studies have allowed me to deepen my understanding of how and why...
"A mother NEEDS to find her inner balance in order to give the best to herself, her baby, and her partner."
I want to be very, very clear right off the bat with you at the risk of coming across as obnoxious: the solution to the situation you are experiencing will NOT be found in your partner, in your relationship, or in your relationship with your child.
You might be tempted, from time to time, to point the finger: if you helped me more, if you were more present, if you worked a little less, if you really listened to me, then the situation would be less burdensome.
Of course: all these things would help and it is always good to work to improve them, but what I am telling you is something else.
I am saying not to confuse "cause and effect."

Becoming a mother
Awakens your Emotions
For example: you may realize that with your partner, you only talk about the children and have stopped making plans for the couple. Perhaps, you have noticed a decrease in affectionate or romantic attitudes such as kissing, caressing hugging, or a decrease in the quality and frequency of your sexuality.
So on and so forth.
You may feel the need to vent about sleepless nights, limited time, and attention and self-care that you can no longer take.
Unfortunately, all the ones I listed are just symptoms of the problem and they are not the cause of your discomfort.
You must know that becoming a mother awakens your emotions, awakens unresolved conflicts and the deepest wounds in your soul.

Every decision rests on your shoulders
This is normal: you are in a time of high stress and constant worry as well as physical fatigue.
The mental load is at an all-time high: you have to think about being a good mom, you constantly feel the judgement of others on you, you have to manage the house, do the shopping and still strive to be the best in your job.
And even if your partner helps you, he or she often does so only on a practical level: almost all organization, choices and decisions rest on your shoulders.
Day after day, month after month this situation is weighing you down and creating distance.
Distance between you and your partner.
Distance between you and your child.
Distance between you and your own emotions.
Yes, because we often begin to struggle to recognize and identify the problems. And thus to deal with them.

Now YOU Can Take Control of YOUR Life Back
The good thing is that you can take back control of your life and discover a new way of being a mom, a new way of living as a couple.
In fact, it is possible to evolve the situation you are experiencing, based on what you really want.
You will agree with me, often our discomfort comes from the emotions we feel most often, and emotions can be trained: you can become more patient, wiser, stronger, more understanding.
Just as going to the gym serves us to strengthen our physique, I have devised a training plan for your emotions: it is a customized course based on your needs.
I called it Emotional Workout.

Every situation that causes you pain is triggered by a specific switch
Every situation that causes you pain, that generates anxiety, panic, frustration, is triggered by a specific "switch." Just as if it were a light switch:
When the switch flips, the light goes out and you can't see anything.
Your child wakes up at night, the switch flicks. The light goes out.
Your partner is late for work, the switch flips. The light goes out.
Your mother-in-law gives you yet another unsolicited advice, the switch flips. The light goes out.
Every time the switch flips, it's as if the light in the room goes out: you are left in the dark, without any direction, guidance or reference.
You are at the mercy of your emotions and have no idea how to turn the light back on.
Yet, just as it was enough to flip an "emotional switch" to find yourself in the dark, exactly in the same way you can find your way back to the light.

Identify the Switches and Find Yourself Again
I want to offer you the opportunity to identify what your personal "circuit breakers" are, and I will provide you with a training plan to train yourself to defuse them.
Day by day you will realize, with a new calm and aware attitude, how the events that used to make you suffer are actually manageable.
You will realize your true value, your true strength.
By defusing the "emotional switches" you will slowly become the mom and woman you always dreamed of being, to raise your child in a peaceful, loving and balanced way.
Finally, the exercises I suggest will help you find a new balance for your couple: they will allow you to give your partner and your relationship the nurturing it deserves, without guilt or fear.
I can't do the work for you, but I can guide you on the correct path to follow.

I wish I could help all the mothers out there but my time is Limited
As you can imagine, my time is limited. I am a mom, like you, and although I wish I could manage to do much more than I can, over time I have accepted the fact that I can't do everything.
In particular, it weighs heavily on me not to be able to follow all the moms who ask me for support, ask me to accompany them on a piece of the road that leads them to self-discovery.
I have been thinking for a long time about how to do it in order to enable anyone to embark on a path of personal growth, toward a new serenity, toward the possibility of living in a new way the relationship with oneself, with one's partner and with one's child.
It seemed impossible.
Some mothers had financial problems and could not afford to spend large sums of money on an individual growth path.
Some moms were overwhelmed by organizational problems, and it was unthinkable for them to make a fixed, once-a-week commitment and devote an hour to their own well-being.
Besides, I myself as I already anticipated did not have the time to follow up on all the requests I was receiving.

I want to show you my 7-Day Emotional Workout
It is a week-long training plan, where day by day you will work on one of the pivotal emotions and learn how to transform negative and painful emotions into positive and pleasant ones.
That's right: there is a spectrum of emotions that, just like muscles, can and should be trained.
Within the Emotional Workout I will take you hand in hand on a journey of discovery of the tools that are absolutely necessary to train yourself to build your new emotional stability and personal serenity.
It is a transformational journey that encompasses all 7 critical areas that a woman, when she becomes a mother, might experience.
You may not necessarily recognize yourself in all 7, but even if you worked on just one of these emotions, the quality of your days and of your life would increase drastically.
Let's try to see them together, and try to imagine if you find yourself in any of these negative emotions.
Day 1
From Anger to Calmness
Anger can be caused by a variety of factors, such as stress, frustration, or misunderstandings. Through breathing, reflection and relaxation exercises, you will learn how to manage anger and find the inner calm needed to face difficult situations with serenity.
Day 2
From anxiety to serenity
Anxiety is an emotion that can paralyze us and prevent us from fully enjoying life. You will learn mindfulness and meditation techniques to deal with anxiety and promote a feeling of serenity and overall well-being.
Day 3
From Feeling Inadequate to Feeling a Good Mother
Insecurity and self-doubt are challenging emotions to deal with. You will learn to accept your imperfections, celebrate your successes and develop a healthy sense of self-worth. This will help you feel like a good mother, able to cope with the challenges of motherhood.
Day 4
From Guilt to Tranquility
Overcoming guilt is a key part of your journey to serenity. Through self-awareness and forgiveness exercises, you will learn how to free yourself from guilt and find inner peace.
Day 5
From Loneliness to a Connection with Self and Others
To reconnect with yourself, you must bridge the gap between loneliness and connection. You will learn strategies for strengthening connections with yourself and others, encouraging support and sharing experiences.
Day 6
From Rigidity to Flexibility
To abandon unhealthy habits, it's vital to transform rigidity into flexibility. You will learn to let go of control and embrace change, developing the ability to adapt to the different situations that life and motherhood can bring.
Day 7
From Frustration to Peace
The last day of the Emotional Workout addresses frustration, an emotion that can create tension and conflict. Through relaxation and acceptance exercises, you will learn to release frustration and find an inner peace that will allow you to face daily challenges with balance and harmony.

Here's what other wonderful moms say about "Emotional Workout"
Sarah Rodriguez
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Very nice course especially useful because make you focus on yourself as a mom and as a woman.
Definitely, at least for me, being a mom has also brought with it a lot of doubts, fears and about not being a good mother, let's say it's a path that reassures and helps you understand that you're doing the best the best you can for your child/children.
A path I recommend because being a mother and becoming a mother are two very different things and there is a need for guidance and support.
Sarah is a beautiful person she is a very good coach and also her story to tell can be an inspiration and help to you. She is also a mom so she knows very well what it is like and what you experience in becoming a mom.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Excellent course that helps moms like me, in understanding and improving the management of their children but at the same time the management of their own time and needs.
I found many topics and tips useful, Sarah is very nice and knowledgeable, she helps us to be more confident and not to forget that we are women not just moms; from even practical exercises, such as the parenting kit, planning or simply remembering to breathe--which would seem obvious but I found it is not at all.
A beautiful and very useful course that I really recommend to every mom out there!!!

I'm sure at least once each of us has found ourselves having to handle/deal with the situations and moods described in this course.
Tips, exercises, reflections that can really change your approach and solve some situations.
Although the content is, at times, a bit complex (I think everything surrounding a male kid is always not simple!) I found the course to be laid out clearly and simply.
I also liked the breakdown of the videos that make it more at the door of a mom who, unfortunately, always has limited minutes!
Thank you Sarah from me and also from my kiddo.

Moms are made, not born.
In an age when everything is frenzy and the highest performances (in all fields) are demanded of us women, it is really hard to feel up to the task.
In this course, Sarah guides you step-by-step and makes you understand that our weaknesses as women and mothers are not wrong, but absolutely normal. With gentleness and understanding she helps you get comfortable, and with a practical course that also includes useful exercises she gives you valuable tips that you can apply right away in your daily life.
Sarah is not only a caring and attentive mom, she is also an excellent coach with lots of experience, a caring and reassuring presence--the perfect figure to accompany us moms toward awareness and acceptance.

A valuable tool, full of meaningful content, topics, tips, practices to perform, accessories... all studied in detail & adapted to the "schedule" of us moms.
The main purpose of "Motherly Care" is to cope as best as possible with this wonderful, important and delicate experience of being a mother.

"I think the first step is to accept that we are human beings, that we are women, and that being a mother does not mean being invincible."
My daughter is 3 years old, and in this time, besides being my most immense joy, it has also been the hardest test that life has put in front of me.
Prior to following Sarah's Emotional Workout, I had moments in which I often felt inadequate and unable to keep calm, and especially in moments of stress, I did not understand how it was possible to stop and breathe, so often instead of defusing my daughter's moments of crisis, I ended up feeding them.
I have learned so much through Sarah's teachings and advice, especially how to breathe and take those ten restorative minutes without feeling guilty, which has improved the quality of the dialogue and time I spend with my daughter.
If you are a mom, I recommend you dive into this world that will guide you in understanding yourself and the proper ways to deal with the magnificent gift of motherhood.
